Best KNEE PADS for Painters

I used to play volleyball when I was in High School.

So a few weeks ago, I was sorting through old boxes and found these volleyball pads that hadn't been used in years (even decades lol).

So I asked Gino if he'd want them since I knew his wife still plays on occasion.

But when he took them, it wasn't to give to his wife (since she already had a pair)... Gino had something else in mind.

The following day Gino tested those volleyball pads to see if they'd work well as knee pads for painting.

After a few tests, here's what Gino discovered...

When you wear them directly on your skin (which is how those pads were designed to be worn), you get a few benefits:

  • They do not move up or down when you bend your legs and move around
  • You can't see them since they end up being under your pants
  • And because they are under your pants, the pants are free to naturally move which makes it very comfortable to wear for long periods of time
  • And of course, it makes painting baseboards and trims a lot more pleasant!

For years, Gino and I had stopped using knee pads since we could never find a pair that was both comfortable and practical. But for Interior Repaint projects, those volleyball pads are a game changer 😀
